Northumbrian Water is making big plans to keep water flowing smoothly in Berwick and we want you to be part of it.

Starting Saturday 22 November, our friendly Customer Heroes will be on hand at Berwick Market and the Town Council Office in Marygate to answer your questions and share exciting updates about what’s happening in Berwick.

This is all part of the water company’s Living Water, Loving Berwick campaign, which focuses on supporting customers and investing in the future of Berwick’s water and wastewater network. Whether you have questions about local investment, your bills, financial support, or simply want water-saving tips, the team is here to help.

As part of the ongoing commitment to protect the environment and safeguard the region’s rivers and coastline, the team will also be on hand to tell customers about Northumbrian Water’s planned investment of up to £175 million in the Berwick area over the next ten years.

One major project already underway is the upgrade to smart water meters, giving customers more control over their water use and bills. With smart meters, you can track your usage through Northumbrian Water’s app, learn how to save water, and even reduce costs.

Berwick’s residents will be able to find out more and apply for a meter by visiting Northumbrian Water’s Customer Heroes.

Gary Adams, Head of Metering Operations, said: “Our new smart meters measure  water use on an hourly basis and securely send readings through our network, reducing the risk of estimated bills. A smart meter supports customers in making informed choices, adopting water-saving habits, and potentially benefiting from lower bills. Every drop saved is a drop left in the environment, supporting our shared goal of protecting local water resources for the future and this includes the River Tweed and other waterways across Berwick.”
